Paniz Yousefi

Spatial Designer

Based in Naarm/Melbourne

Today, buildings and spaces are no longer seen as isolated physical objects but as dynamic environments shaped by complex social, economic, and ecological systems. Spatial design integrates these diverse aspects, concentrating on how spaces function and resonate on multiple levels.

My work is driven by three inter connected principles that shape every project:

Research-led Design

I begin by understanding theenvironmental, social and cultural context before proposing design solutions. Research informs both the concept and the design process.

Sustainability

My approach to sustainability considersthe interconnected relationshipbetween environmental, social andeconomic factors. I believe responsiblearchitecture must minimise ecologicalimpact while supporting human wellbeing and creating long-term value for communities. Sustainability therefore becomes a fundamental design consideration rather than anadditional feature.

Design Through Making

I use physical making as a way of thinking. Through craftsmanship, material experimentation and digital fabrication, I test ideas, refine concepts andunderstand how design can be translated into meaningful built outcomes.
